WIRELESS NETWORKS: RF Fields

With the resurgence of the popularity of radio technology, concern is being raised by the public regarding the increased level of non-ionising radation that may result. Although major public concern has related to the proliferation of cellular radio systems, other systems from very low frequency transmitters to high frequency radar installations should also be examined.

Guidelines issued in various countries can be used to ensure that all radio transmitting installation designs conform to accepted practices. In addition, periodic and spot inspections of radio installations will ensure that radio operators install and operate their equipment appropriately
